I am thrilled to announce that actor Eric Martin Reid is cast as Finley, one of The Stylist’s most pivotal and textured characters. Eric is an exceptional talent who’s own life experience and extensive training breathes depth, honesty and color into all his characters. Finley, a tortured and passionate poet from Ireland, meets and challenges the lead character, Lenore, with his raw honesty and wisdom, and for anyone who has had the fortune to hang with Eric Reid, he carries this same soulful torch. I can’t wait to work with Eric and watch Finley come to life.
Eric Martin Reid (SAG/AFTRA)- Eric began learning about the craft of acting as a storyteller. He developed his first tools for character creation as he lived and travelled in Scotland and Ireland seeking out Master Storytellers. From there he was accepted and trained at the Dell Arte International School for Physical Theatre. He was also a student of Advanced Meisner Technique at the Actor’s Avenue Studio. As few painters paint with just one color, Eric believes that each role can require an actor to respond differently. It is beneficial to have a lot of tools.
With numerous stage, film and television credits Eric has also played opposite Selma Blair, Kerri Russell, Aldis Hodge and Brendan Frasier. Eric is also the creator of Soap St. Theatre: episodic sketch comedy based on the traditional soap opera format which has played two seasons and sold out numerous shows.
Although continually inspired and challenged by life’s ebb Eric has also been shaped by a 2 year struggle with cancer at the age of sixteen and the loss of a close friend who taught him more than he ever thought he would know about death, his own spirit, and our short walk on this earth. He is continually inspired to live a vibrant, original life.
